Return journey dates from Yuksum to Namma Bengaluru: 13th & 14th November 2106
Return journey to Namma Bengaluru not went well. Reason behind this Note ban from Modi government on 8th November 2016. When i was in Tsokha camp-site called my sister to inform that we are safe she told me 500 & 1000 notes are banned. Sadly we have carried 500 & 1000 Notes. Struggled to get change at NJP and added to that we couldn’t withdraw 2000 also because either most of ATM’s are closed or long queue outside Finally, Arjit helped me to get some change so my return journey to Namma Bengaluru completed in very less cost
After finishing the unforgettable Dzongri & Goecha La experience, we had breakfast at GUPTA RESTAURANT around 7:00 AM in the morning.
Our luggage was also ready and waited for Cab driver Munnu to reach Yuksum. He was coming from Gangtok. Finally, Cab came around 9:00 AM and started our return journey to NJP. Trek crew Bhim joined us and we all reached Jorethang around 12:00 PM where we shifted to another Sumo cos Munnu was tired due to overnight journey.
Note: 2 more trekkers from Kolkata who are back from Dzongri & Goecha La experience joined us in this cab journey.
Had lunch at Melli around 1:30 PM and started back our return journey around 2:00 PM.
On the way, 2 Kolkata trekkers and Richard got down at Siliguri. Myself, Arjit & Soumen reached NJP around 4:30 PM. My train to Kolkata was scheduled around 8:00 PM from NJP somehow we 3 people killed our time at NJP. Arjit & Soumen train is 1 hour late.
